Job Description

The position of Psychologist at the Mental Wellness Institute in Johannesburg entails offering psychological services aimed at enhancing the well-being of our clients. You will conduct evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Assess client psychological needs through interviews and standardized assessments.
  • Implement evidence-based therapies tailored to individual client needs.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
  • Document client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and supervision.
  • Provide psycho-education to clients and families.
  • Engage in community mental health initiatives.
  • Attend case meetings and contribute to team discussions.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in all aspects of care.
  • Provide support and supervision to interns and junior staff.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Psychology or relevant field
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in clinical psychology or related field
