We are seeking a detail-oriented Pension Analyst to work in our Sandton office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing our pension schemes, providing insights into financial performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements related to pension funds.
• Provide actuarial input for pension scheme design and funding strategies.
• Develop and implement effective reporting systems.
• Assist with client presentations and discussions on pension issues.
• Help train and mentor junior staff in the actuarial department.
• Translate complex actuarial concepts into understandable language for stakeholders.
• Participate in strategic planning for pension schemes.
• Contribute to risk management strategies for pension liabilities.
• Provide support in the preparation of funding valuations and experience studies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• Postgraduate studies in Actuarial Science are advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years in actuarial analysis focusing on pensions or related financial instruments
