Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Legal Advisor to join our legal team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, drafting and reviewing contracts, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on corporate governance matters.
• Assist in drafting and implementing compliance programs.
• Evaluate and address legal risks associated with business operations.
• Prepare documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Conduct training workshops for staff on legal compliance.
• Oversee dispute resolution processes efficiently.
• Maintain a comprehensive legal library and resources.
• Assist in maintaining client relationships and managing expectations.
• Monitor and report on legal developments relevant to the firm.
• Engage in community outreach regarding legal issues.

Requirements

Education

• LLB degree from an accredited institution
• Additional qualifications in corporate law or alternative dispute resolution are advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in a legal advisory capacity, preferably in corporate law
