Lathe Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to operate and maintain our advanced lathe machines. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in using lathes to shape and fabricate metal components, ensuring that high-quality parts are produced consistently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate both manual and computer-controlled lathe machines.
• Assess technical drawings to determine machining procedures.
• Measure parts accurately to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Adjust machine settings to optimize production.
• Conduct quality checks on produced components.
• Document production output and any maintenance performed.
• Assist in training junior machinists.
• Work closely with quality control teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or trade qualification in relevant field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in lathe operation preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
