Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cost Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail, and will be responsible for managing cost-related aspects of our financial operation.

Responsibilities

• Establish and update cost accounting policies and procedures.
• Analyze labor efficiency and productivity costs.
• Prepare reports detailing variances between budgeted and actual costs.
• Support financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Conduct financial modeling to support business opportunities.
• Work with finance and operations teams on continuous improvement.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors regarding costs.
• Train junior staff on cost accounting practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
• Postgraduate qualification preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in cost accounting or finance

• Inventory Management

Certifications

• CIMA or equivalent
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
