Cloud Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to manage our cloud operations in Cape Town. The successful candidate will oversee cloud resource utilization and contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing our cloud services performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage cloud solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Assist in the migration of existing applications to cloud environments.
• Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies for cloud services.
• Evaluate and recommend third-party tools to enhance cloud operations.
• Lead projects to integrate cloud services with on-premises systems.
• Document cloud architecture and operational procedures.
• Train team members on cloud technologies and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation for cloud support.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture and services

Technical Skills

• Kubernetes
• CI/CD Tools

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
