Job Description

We are seeking skilled Surgical Assistants to join our dynamic surgical team. As a Surgical Assistant, your primary role will involve preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting surgical teams during procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing the operating room by arranging necessary instruments and equipment.
• Serve as a key support member during surgeries, helping to ensure effective workflow.
• Perform pre-operative patient checks and assist with post-operative care.
• Monitor and document patient status during the surgical process.
• Participate in maintaining inventory of surgical supplies.
• Maintain equipment functionality and cleanliness.
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
• Assist with patient education regarding post-operative care when applicable.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and skills enhancement.
• Support the surgical team's operational goals through effective communication.

Requirements

Education

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist is highly regarded

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years in an operating room assistant role or similar experience.
