Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Public Health Officer to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing public health programs, conducting community outreach, and collaborating with local healthcare providers to improve community health outcomes. You will play a vital role in assessing public health needs and developing strategies to address them.

Responsibilities

• Implement community outreach activities to promote health.
• Analyze data related to public health concerns.
• Work with local government on health initiatives.
• Develop partnerships with schools, businesses, and organizations.
• Prepare health resource materials for distribution.
• Conduct health screenings and assessments in the community.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or a related discipline
• Master’s degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in a public health role

Certifications

• Public Health Certification Board (PHCB) Certificate
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
