We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Consultant to join our dynamic team in Midrand. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical design and a proven track record of successful projects in general engineering. Your expertise will contribute to the development of innovative solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain mechanical design documentation, including CAD models and drawings.
• Conduct thorough analysis of design and performance data to enhance product quality.
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for sourcing components.
• Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Engage with clients to gather project requirements and deliver design solutions.
• Identify and resolve design-related issues in a proactive manner.
• Support quality assurance processes to validate product designs.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical design.
• Provide input for continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
• Assist with engineering project bids and proposals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of direct experience in mechanical design

Technical Skills

• Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
