Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Building Inspector to join our team in Pretoria. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting construction sites and ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of building standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough inspections of residential and commercial buildings.
  • Analyze building designs and assess compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate with local authorities on inspection matters.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control standards during construction.
  • Generate reports detailing code compliance status and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in community outreach and education regarding building safety.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements in building safety.
  • Assist in policy development regarding building codes.

Requirements

Education
  • National Diploma in Building Science
  • Civil Engineering degree preferred
Experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on construction or inspections experience
