Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Gas Truck Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for transporting gas and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. A valid South African driver’s license and experience in a similar role are essential.

Responsibilities

• Transport petroleum products to various locations while following all company policies.
• Ensure proper handling and transportation of gas cylinders to avoid any spills.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain high standards of customer service during deliveries.
• Keep accurate logs of driving hours and delivery routes.
• Report any mechanical issues or road hazards to the Transport Manager promptly.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certifications in transport management are advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in gas or petroleum transportation

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of safety regulations
• Inventory management skills

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills
• Reliability

Certifications

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
