Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of mechanical systems and be passionate about innovative engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of mechanical engineering projects.
• Work closely with project managers to keep projects on track.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing processes and systems.
• Prepare reports on project status and engineering insights.
• Actively participate in engineering review meetings and discussions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles

Technical Skills

• ProE/Creo
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Leadership

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with HVAC systems: Experience with HVAC systems design and implementation.
• Skills in automation: Experience in integrating automation in engineering processes.
