Diesel Scoop Operator

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Diesel Scoop Operator for our mining operations. The operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating diesel scoop machinery in underground mining environments. This role is critical for transporting mined materials and maintaining productivity.

Responsibilities

• Utilize scoop machinery to move mined materials safely.
• Follow safety procedures while conducting equipment operations.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and minor troubleshooting on equipment.
• Work cooperatively with fellow operators to achieve production goals.
• Ensure compliance with mining regulations and company policies.
• Keep accurate records of daily operations and equipment performance.
• Attend safety briefings and implement learnings in daily tasks.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate
• Relevant mining certifications preferred

Experience

• Proven experience in diesel scoop operation in mining settings

• Mechanical Knowledge

Certifications

• First Aid Certification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
