Drilling and Production Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drilling and Production Superintendent to oversee drilling and production operations within our organization. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in drilling and production processes, with the ability to effectively manage and optimize both onshore and offshore activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute drilling programmes in line with regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and ensure compliance on site.
• Lead a team of drilling engineers and field personnel.
• Implement and maintain documentation for all drilling activities.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding drilling progress.
• Evaluate drilling performance metrics and report findings.
• Manage contracts with third-party service providers.
• Devise plans for risk mitigation associated with drilling operations.
• Facilitate training sessions for new staff on equipment and procedures.
• Create contingency plans for unexpected operational challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field
• Valid certifications in safety and environmental regulations

Experience

• 7+ years of relevant industry experience, including supervisory roles.

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of well completion and workover techniques
• Familiarity with environmental regulations

Soft Skills

• Strong negotiation skills
• Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment

Languages

• English: Fluent
