Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Social Worker to provide support and advocacy for individuals and families in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to assess client needs, develop intervention plans, and engage with community resources to promote positive changes.

Responsibilities

• Assess client situations and develop tailored action plans.
• Facilitate access to mental health services and resources.
• Coordinate with social service agencies and professionals.
• Provide emotional support and counselling to clients and families.
• Conduct home visits as necessary to assess living conditions.
• Document case notes and client progress thoroughly.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Engage in community resource planning and outreach efforts.
• Support clients in navigating legal and financial systems.
• Provide education on social service programs available.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in the field

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
