Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in civil engineering principles, with experience in project planning, design, and implementation. You will be responsible for overseeing various civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet local regulations and standards while maintaining a focus on sustainability and safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions to complex design challenges.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors for project execution.
• Prepare reports on project status, issues, and safety audits.
• Facilitate public consultations and address community concerns.
• Implement sustainable practices in all project phases.
• Evaluate project outcomes and recommend improvements.
• Assist in securing project approvals and permits.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience

Technical Skills

• Surveying
• Geotechnical Engineering

Certifications

• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)
• Safety Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
