We are on the lookout for a skilled Mining Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mining processes and engineering principles, aiming to optimize our operations while ensuring safety and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts in optimizing mining methods and resource extraction.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and local communities.
• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for mining projects.
• Ensure that all mining operations are carried out in an environmentally responsible manner.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering
• Additional qualifications related to environmental management are an asset

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in mining operations

Languages
