Job Description

The Nuisance Wildlife Trapper will be responsible for conducting inspections, setting humane traps, and ensuring the safe removal of wildlife from residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable about local wildlife species and passionate about wildlife conservation.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections to assess wildlife presence and risks.
• Install and monitor various humane trapping systems across properties.
• Handle and transport wildlife safely following established protocols.
• Educate clients on preventing future wildlife encounters.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting for all services rendered.
• Stay updated on wildlife laws and ethical trapping practices.
• Assist in the development of wildlife management strategies.
• Engage in community outreach to raise awareness about wildlife safety.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance service quality.

Requirements

Education

• Wildlife Management or Environmental Science degree preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of field experience in wildlife control or environmental management.

Technical Skills

• GPS tracking software
• Trapping equipment knowledge

Certifications

• Advanced Wildlife Management Certification
• Certified Wildlife Control Professional (CWCP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Fluent
