Generic Pharmacy is on the lookout for a dedicated Pharmacist to support our mission of health improvement in the Durban community. You will provide medication therapy management and health screenings while ensuring compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient dental conditions and recommend appropriate treatments.
• Perform dental procedures in a safe and effective manner.
• Advise and educate patients on how to maintain their dental health.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance the patient experience.
• Ensure all equipment is sterilized and maintained in compliance with regulations.
• Engage in community health education initiatives.
• Promote preventative care strategies to patients.
• Maintain a professional and friendly relationship with patients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Dentistry
• Postgraduate certifications in special dental fields are advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of practice in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Oral Surgery
• Radiography

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Patient Care

Certifications

• Health Professions Council of South Africa certification
• Infection Control Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in cosmetic dentistry: Knowledge of aesthetic dental practices and techniques.
• Leadership skills: Ability to mentor junior staff and lead dental teams.
