Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter, Operator, and Tender

Job Description

As a Hob Machine Operator, your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain hobbing machines. You will ensure efficient production runs by performing routine maintenance and quality checks, while reading and interpreting technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines according to specifications for various production runs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs.
• Assist in developing efficient production processes.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Trade certificate in machining is a plus

Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred.

Technical Skills

• Manual Machining
• Gear Cutting

Soft Skills

• Team Player

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with manual machining: Experience in manual machining processes preferred.
• Familiarity with safety protocols: Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to machine operations.
