Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated pharmacist to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing medication therapy management, and ensuring the best health outcomes for our patients. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Manage prescription processing and medication dispensing.
  • Evaluate patient medication regimens for effectiveness and safety.
  • Implement and monitor patient care programs.
  • Engage in regular continuing education and professional development.
  • Promote adherence to medication therapy amongst patients.
  • Oversee proper storage and dispensing of medications.
  • Assist in the development of patient education materials.
  • Conduct medication reviews and make recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical staff to improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in pharmacy-led research and development projects.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Experience in a retail pharmacy environment is preferred

  • 3+ years of demonstrated pharmacy experience
