City Controller

Job Description

The City Controller will oversee the financial management and accounting operations of the City. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with analytical expertise and strong leadership skills, driving financial accountability and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Direct all financial operations, ensuring compliance with local laws.
• Prepare presentations for municipal stakeholders on financial performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with city policies.
• Implement technology solutions to streamline financial processes.
• Ensure continuous improvement in the financial reporting cycle.
• Evaluate and report on the financial impact of new initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
• Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA) preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial management or accounting.
