Job Description

As a Hearing Aid Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting hearing screening tests on newborns in various healthcare settings. You will play a crucial role in identifying potential hearing issues, record maintaining accurate patient data, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screenings with precision and care.
• Record test results and maintain up-to-date patient records.
• Communicate findings to parents and recommend follow-up actions as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for holistic patient management.
• Attend meetings to discuss cases and improvement strategies in audiological practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Audiology or related field
• Registered Audiologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in hearing screening, with experience in newborn testing being advantageous.
