Job Description

We are on the lookout for a proactive Supply Chain Manager to oversee and improve our supply chain operations in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in logistics, inventory management, and supplier relations to ensure smooth operations and maximise efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operational activities within the supply chain.
• Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.
• Manage inventory levels and forecast demand accurately.
• Ensure adequate support and resources are available for logistics operations.
• Facilitate meetings with team members and stakeholders to discuss supply chain strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field
• Master's degree in Business Administration is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain or logistics management

Technical Skills

• Supply Chain Software
• Demand Forecasting

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Logistics and Supply Chain Management Certification
• Certified Supply Chain Manager (CSCM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Certification in Logistics Management: Possession of relevant certifications is a distinct advantage.
• Experience with Lean methodologies: Knowledge of Lean principles for streamlining supply chain processes.
