Job Description

As a Tax Specialist, you will leverage your knowledge of tax regulations to assist clients in tax planning and reporting. This position is vital for helping businesses thrive in a compliant manner while optimizing their tax liabilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals and corporations.
• Provide strategic tax planning advice to optimize tax liabilities.
• Stay updated with the latest tax legislation changes and ensure compliance.
• Conduct tax audits and represent clients in front of tax authorities.
• Assist clients with tax-related questions and provide expert advice.
• Develop tax strategies that align with clients’ business goals.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements related to tax matters.
• Collaborate with accounting staff to ensure accurate tax records.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff on tax matters.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Master's degree in Taxation or relevant certification such as CA(SA) or CTA preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in taxation or relevant accounting roles
