Job Description

We are seeking an Urban Planner to join our dedicated team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing urban development projects, ensuring they meet community needs while promoting sustainable strategies. Responsibilities

  • Create detailed urban designs and land-use plans.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and public consultations.
  • Evaluate urban development proposals for compliance and sustainability.
  • Prepare grant applications and proposals for funding opportunities.
  • Advise on regulatory changes and policies affecting urban development.
  • Provide expert advice on redevelopment projects.
  • Foster a collaborative culture focused on innovation in urban planning.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or Environmental Science
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in urban planning or related projects
