Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Structural Engineer to manage and execute structural projects in Cape Town. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design through to completion, ensuring quality and compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities

• Utilize software tools to simulate structural behaviour and performance.
• Develop and implement safety protocols for construction sites.
• Engage in client meetings to discuss project requirements and updates.
• Review and approve contractor submissions.
• Ensure timely project delivery while managing costs and resources.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents.
• Facilitate communication between project stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior engineering staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SAP2000
• Revit

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PrEng)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational
