Job Description

We are looking for a committed Electrical Controls Technician to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical control systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical control systems.
  • Utilize troubleshooting techniques to address control system issues effectively.
  • Perform systematic inspections to proactively identify potential problems.
  • Work alongside the engineering team to enhance control systems based on operational feedback.
  • Document all maintenance activities and contribute to process improvement discussions.
  • Ensure all procedures comply with relevant safety and quality standards.
  • Guide and support junior team members during installations and repairs.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in control systems.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to team meetings and share insights from field experiences.

Requirements

Education
  • Trade Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Valid Electrical Trade Test Certificate
  • Wireman's License (advantageous)
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical controls maintenance within an industrial setting.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of electrical control systems
