Responsibilities

  • Deliver therapeutic interventions based on established frameworks.
  • Work alongside psychiatrists to discuss client medication management.
  • Share insights and clinical findings with team members.
  • Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Foster relationships with clients to support their recovery process.
  • Participate in community outreach activities.
  • Document therapy sessions and client interactions thoroughly.
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health setting
