Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Farm Manager to lead our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will oversee daily agricultural operations, ensure optimal crop production, and manage the farm's budget effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee crop production and ensure the effective use of land and resources.
• Hire and train staff for various roles within the farm.
• Maintain accurate records of farm operations, crop yields, and product sales.
• Implement sustainable farming practices to improve soil health and crop yield.
• Report on operational efficiencies and areas for improvement to management.
• Collaborate with agricultural specialists to optimize crop management.
• Assure that the farm complies with environmental and safety regulations.
• Investigate new agricultural technologies and practices to enhance productivity.
• Schedule and supervise maintenance of farm machinery and vehicles.
• Participate in community agricultural events and initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in an Agricultural-related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Agricultural Management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in farm management or a leadership role
