Mechanical Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our Durban team. The successful candidate will work on a range of projects, focusing on mechanical systems and ensuring optimal operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical inspections and tests.
• Troubleshoot issues to ensure machinery operates efficiently.
• Install and configure mechanical systems according to specifications.
• Work closely with the engineering team to improve existing products.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and concerns.
• Maintain inventory of mechanical parts and equipment.
• Provide training and guidance to junior technicians.

Requirements

Education

• National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is a plus

Experience

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in maintenance

Certifications

• ISO 9001 Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
