We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our team in Durban. You will work alongside a talented group of professionals to develop and implement innovative chemical processes. This role involves working on various projects, including product development, process optimization, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies for new projects and processes.
• Collaborate with other engineers and scientists for optimized formulations.
• Conduct quantitative analysis to support project decisions.
• Facilitate training sessions on chemical engineering principles.
• Lead projects aimed at reducing production costs while maintaining quality.
• Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs for compliance documentation.
• Document findings and develop recommendations for process enhancements.
• Actively participate in safety audits and inspections.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or similar
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years in the chemical or process industries
