Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Description

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will oversee the housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms and public areas are clean, tidy and well-presented. You will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and hygiene that our guests expect.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate housekeeping staff to deliver high-quality service.
• Inspect rooms before guest arrival to ensure they are properly prepared.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and tidiness.
• Ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations.
• Assist with staff scheduling and payroll.
• Conduct training sessions for team members to enhance skills.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels for cleaning products and linens.
• Resolve customer complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations for housekeeping staff.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in Hospitality Management is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic
