Job Description

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Event Planner to join our vibrant team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating events from conception to execution, ensuring seamless operations and ultimate satisfaction for our clients. Strong organizational skills, creativity, and attention to detail are essential in delivering memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients to understand their objectives and preferences for events.
  • Develop creative themes and concepts that resonate with the target audience.
  • Ensure every detail of the event runs smoothly, from setup to breakdown.
  • Supervise event staff, assigning tasks and ensuring high levels of service.
  • Monitor event expenses and ensure adherence to the budget.
  • Gather feedback from participants and clients for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in networking events to build relationships and identify business opportunities.
  • Stay updated with industry trends to keep events fresh and innovative.
  • Engage with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms for services and products.
  • Prepare event reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Master's degree is an advantage
Experience
  • 5+ years of direct experience in the event planning industry
