Tunnel Kiln Operator

Job Description

The Tunnel Kiln Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring a tunnel kiln to produce fired clay bricks. You will maintain optimal kiln temperature and ensure the kiln functions properly throughout the firing process. This role requires attention to detail and physical stamina, along with the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the tunnel kiln.
• Adjust kiln settings based on production needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel for equipment upkeep.
• Document and report any malfunctions or irregularities.
• Assist in training new operators.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals.
• Implement safety measures to prevent accidents.
• Work flexible hours as required by production schedules.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate
• Technical or vocational training in brickmaking or a related field

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in operating a tunnel kiln in the brickmaking industry.
