Job Description

As an Urban Planner in Cape Town, you will utilize your skills in project management and community engagement to create innovative urban solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to design urban landscapes that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain comprehensive urban planning databases for data tracking.
• Coordinate with local government and agencies to ensure project alignment with city master plans.
• Assist in writing grant proposals for urban development funding.
• Offer innovative solutions to urban planning challenges and issues.
• Provide technical advice on design and functionality of public spaces.
• Analyze and report on trends in urban development and sustainability.
• Supervise other planning professionals and interns as necessary.
• Promote community outreach initiatives to foster public participation in urban planning.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or Geography
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in urban planning or municipal development
