The Woodworking Machine Setter operates woodworking machinery, ensuring precision in crafting stave components. This role is pivotal in the production of barrels and other wooden containers, requiring attention to detail and strong technical skills.
Responsibilities
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed.
Train new employees on machine operation and safety protocols.
Conduct routine maintenance on woodworking machinery.
Implement improvements in the production process.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Coordinate with quality control for inspections.
Document production metrics and machine performance.
Assist in inventory management of raw materials.
Participate in team meetings to discuss production issues.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical diploma in woodworking or related area is preferred
Experience
Experience in barrel or cask manufacturing is a plus
