Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design and analysis, and will be responsible for developing detailed designs and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review structural designs and plans.
  • Collaborate with architects and clients to create innovative engineering solutions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and structural analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Oversee and guide construction activities to ensure quality control.
  • Evaluate and recommend materials and methods for projects.
  • Provide technical advice and support on site.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in structural engineering.
  • Facilitate training for junior engineers on best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering
  • Professional Engineering registration (PrEng) is required
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in structural design and analysis
Technical Skills
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • SAP2000
