Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate Childcare Worker to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will provide care, supervision, and educational support to children aged 0-5 years. You will work closely with parents to promote the development and well-being of each child in our care.

Responsibilities

• Engage children in activities that promote physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.
• Build trusting relationships with children and parents.
• Monitor child progress and provide feedback to parents.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Diploma in Child Care or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 1+ years of relevant child care experience

Technical Skills

• Behavior management strategies
• Nutrition knowledge

Soft Skills

• Patience
• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual capabilities: Ability to communicate fluently in more than one language, particularly English and Zulu.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles: Understanding of age-appropriate practices in early learning.
