Job Description

We are seeking passionate Childcare Workers to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children. The ideal candidates will engage in activities that promote growth and development while ensuring the well-being of each child.

Responsibilities

• Monitor children's activities and provide guidance to ensure a nurturing environment.
• Plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote development in various areas.
• Assist with feeding, diapering, and other personal care tasks for younger children.
• Create and implement individual learning plans for children with special needs.
• Maintain communication with parents regarding their child's progress.
• Participate in the continuous evaluation and enhancement of the childcare program.
• Engage in collaborative planning with the educational team to align objectives.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and childcare standards.

Requirements

Education

• Matric/Grade 12 certificate
• Diploma in Early Childhood Development or related field is an advantage

Experience

• One year of experience in child care or preschool settings is preferred.

Certifications

• First Aid and CPR certification
• ECD certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Formal qualifications in Child Psychology: Understanding children's behavior and mental development.
• Skills in conflict resolution: Ability to mediate and resolve conflicts among children.
