Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Childcare Worker to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing environment for children while supporting their development through various activities.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing and stimulating atmosphere for children.
• Oversee and engage children during playtime and activities.
• Coordinate with parents to understand their child's individual needs.
• Prepare educational materials and resources as needed.
• Conduct regular assessments and report on children's development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and self-discipline.
• Maintain inventory of resources and educational materials.
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

Advantageous

• Knowledge of special needs education: Experience or training in working with children with special needs.
• Experience with behaviour management techniques: Familiarity with strategies to manage challenging behaviours.
