Job Description

The Tandem Mill Sticker is tasked with ensuring that all outgoing products from the tandem mill are correctly labeled and marked, playing a crucial role in our quality control process. You will be responsible for operating labeling equipment and maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and operate labeling machines effectively.
• Conduct quality checks on labeled products to maintain standards.
• Liaise with supervisors regarding labeling issues or equipment malfunctions.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members.
• Understand and adhere to safety regulations in the workplace.
• Record daily output and performance metrics.
• Commit to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support other production areas during peak periods.
• Engage in team-building activities to enhance workplace culture.
• Stay updated on industry best practices for labeling.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Technical qualifications preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment

Technical Skills

• Industrial printers
• Scanners

Soft Skills

• Good communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior experience in the steel industry: Experience working in a steel manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory management: Experience with inventory management systems is an advantage.
