Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Public Health Researcher to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in conducting studies, analysing health data, and contributing to projects aimed at improving community health outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct epidemiological studies to assess health interventions.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams to foster a culture of evidence-based practice.
  • Analyze health statistics and contribute to policy recommendations.
  • Prepare and publish research articles in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Mentor junior research staff and interns in data collection techniques.
  • Evaluate the impact of health programs on community health.
  • Utilize statistical software for data analysis and presentation.
  • Develop partnerships with local universities and research institutions.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Epidemiology or related field
  • Ph.D. in Public Health is highly preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in public health research or related areas
