Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our development process, ensuring that our software products meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for designing test plans, implementing testing processes, and discovering defects before product release.

Responsibilities

• Create a comprehensive quality assurance strategy for software releases.
• Conduct user acceptance testing and gather feedback.
• Work closely with product managers to understand user requirements.
• Support the development team in debugging and troubleshooting processes.
• Participate in release planning and go/no-go decision meetings.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance and software testing.

Technical Skills

• Selenium
• JUnit
• API Testing

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail

Certifications

• ISTQB Certified Tester
• Certified Software Tester (CST)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Agile methodologies: Familiar with Agile development processes and its associated quality practices.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools: Experience with tools like JMeter or LoadRunner for performance testing.
