SEO Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a talented SEO Specialist to join our Johannesburg team. If you have a passion for search engine optimization and a knack for improving online visibility, this is the role for you. The successful candidate will manage various SEO projects, analyze web analytics, optimise content, and drive organic growth for our clients. You will work closely with web developers, content creators, and marketing teams to ensure best practices are implemented.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of SEO campaigns across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with content creators to ensure engagement-driven content.
• Adjust strategies based on performance analytics.
• Research and understand competitors’ strategies for SEO.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions for overall digital marketing strategies.
• Facilitate training sessions for team members on SEO best practice.
• Work with the marketing team to drive innovative SEO initiatives.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of SEO tools and software.
• Assist in managing budgets for SEO campaigns.
• Develop quarterly strategies focused on growth and visibility.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, or a related field
• Certification in SEO is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in SEO/SEM

Technical Skills

• Google Analytics
• SEO Tools (e.g. SEMrush, Moz)
• HTML/CSS

Soft Skills

• Analytical skills
• Communication

Certifications

• Google Analytics Certification
• SEO Certification from a recognized institution

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Paid Search (PPC): Understanding of paid search strategies to complement SEO efforts.
