Join our dynamic team as a Structural Engineer in East London. You will be responsible for the design and management of structural projects from conception to completion. The role requires a detail-oriented professional who can ensure that all designs are compliant with the relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct risk assessments and feasibility studies for various projects.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers.
• Communicate effectively with clients to determine project scope and requirements.
• Implement best practices in design and engineering processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years in structural engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Revit
• Finite Element Analysis

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in seismic design: Knowledge in designing structures to withstand seismic forces.
• Knowledge of local building codes: Familiarity with regulations specific to South Africa.
