Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer ready to take on challenging projects in Pretoria. You will utilize your expertise in structural analysis and design to contribute to projects that enhance communities. Your innovative approach and attention to detail will be key in delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural engineering aspects of various projects from conception to completion.
• Review and approve project documentation and design changes.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide training in engineering practices.
• Research and implement innovative structural design methods.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for client review.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural design and analysis

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis
• Geotechnical Engineering

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer (CEng)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• LEED Certification: Certification in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is an asset.
• Experience in Multi-Disciplinary Teams: Relevant experience in a multi-disciplinary design environment is advantageous.
