Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate should have expertise in mechanical design, analysis, and project management. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and develop cutting-edge engineering solutions that meet client specifications while adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead design review meetings for new projects.
• Create simulations and models to predict performance of mechanical systems.
• Integrate feedback from clients and stakeholders into design iterations.
• Coordinate with suppliers for procurement of materials and components.
• Evaluate new technologies and processes for potential adoption.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members and external partners.
• Consistently review project outcomes to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles

• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
