Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures, including cardiac mapping and device implantation. This role involves conducting detailed patient assessments, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and screenings for electrophysiology procedures.
  • Administer medications and anesthesia as required during procedures.
  • Assist cardiologists during implantation and removal of pacemakers and defibrillators.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and responses to treatments pre, during, and post procedures.
  • Provide ongoing patient education and support related to treatment plans.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams for enhanced patient outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed medical records and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Stay abreast of current research and advancements in electrophysiology nursing.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse (RN) qualification
  • Electrophysiology Nursing certification (advantageous)
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a similar role.
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of advanced electrophysiology procedures
Soft Skills
  • Leadership qualities
Certifications
  • ACLS certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent

  • Leadership experience in a clinical setting: Ability to lead teams and provide mentorship to nursing staff.
