Job Description

We are seeking a Public Health Officer to join our dedicated team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will engage in community health assessments, develop wellness programs, and collaborate with various stakeholders to implement effective public health initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of public health resources.
• Develop educational materials for community health initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and expenditures.
• Engage with community members to identify health needs.
• Advise on health policy formulation and implementation.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health or Epidemiology is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in public health

Certifications

• Certified in Public Health (CPH)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
